Guitar Workshops and Festivals

Dr. Goldberg offers several different hands-on workshops for guitarists of all ages and abilities:

 

 Day of Guitar is an annual high-school guitar ensemble festival held at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. Join us for the festival, or contact Julie Goldberg to organize a similar event in your community.

A Master Class is similar to a public lesson where student performers and audience members gain insight and information. Solo guitarists, guitar ensembles, and string or wind ensembles that include guitar are welcome to play.  Dr. Goldberg works with performers on technical, musical, and expressive elements to improve their  performance.

Junior Day of Guitar is designed especially for younger and less-experienced players. Instructors pick up tips on repertoire, running rehearsals and playing techniques. Students will rehearse and perform with the Junior Day of Guitar Orchestra, participate in hands-on learning activities, attend a professional guitar mini-concert, and perform an ensemble piece in the Participants Recital.
